The Return to Face-to-Face Sessions Press Release

ACE Cardiff, the educational charity supporting young 7-11 year olds and Adults learning English, in Butetown and Grangetown, is re-starting ‘face to face´ sessions for the first time on Wed 6th (Grangetown) and Thur 7th (Cardiff & Vale College).  These will be the first ´live’ sessions since March 2020! After that the charity took their learning sessions ‘onliné even providing tablets for students who had no internet provision, thanks to support from the Coronavirus Resilience Fund and the Community Foundation.

Geoff Hollett, Chair of the charity said, « we are so pleased to be able to meet up with our students again. We are only able to do this due to our collaboration with Cardiff City Council’s Hwb and Cardiff and Vale College, who allow us to use their facilities as teaching spaces »!

The charity’s two main aims are to enhance the work that’s schools do, by supporting the learning experiences of young people –  especially those who find school hard; and helping adults who wish to learn or improve their English language skills. Geoff said « we are able to give these services free to students, thanks to the support of our volunteer mentors and our funders, Waterloo Foundation, Moondance, Garfield Weston and the Community Fund ».
