The Learning Club Tutor (2 hours a week)
Are you passionate about helping children enjoy the learning experience and fostering their confidence? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join The Learning Club as a Tutor.
The Learning Club is a vibrant and dynamic children’s out-of-school learning activity club that aims to create a supportive and engaging environment for children to develop their skills and knowledge. We believe that learning should be enjoyable and empowering, and we strive to instil a sense of confidence and curiosity in every child who attends our club.
- Position: Tutor
- Location: Butetown, Cardiff
- Hours: 2 hours per week during term time (Wednesday or Thursday evening)
- Hourly rate: £24.62 per hour

Tutors at The Learning Club deliver activities prepared by the TLC Coordinator to groups of around 10-15 children at evening sessions on a weekly basis, currently taking place on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Tutors are supported in delivery by volunteer mentors from various backgrounds who work in small groups with children on whichever activity is being delivered. We aim to have an adult to child ratio of 1:3 though this can differ from week to week depending on volunteer availability.
Tutors will initially deliver content provided to them by the TLC Coordinator, but there will be the opportunity to contribute to the curriculum as the role develops.
Successful candidates will deliver one 2 hour session per week during term time but there may be opportunities to run further sessions as we expand our provision, as well as ad hoc cover of other sessions and involvement in our holiday activities.
