On Friday the 24th of June, ACE Cardiff held an event to celebrate a decade of helping people in Cardiff through various projects. The event saw ACE friends and volunteers from past and present gather together to share the evening and to celebrate ACE’s achievements and work of the last 10 years. There was food and drink; entertainment from the wonderful Sororitas Female Voice Choir, and an award for Gerry Puttock, ACE’s founder.
The charity was founded on 22nd June 2006 initially to support people having difficulty finding to jobs to get back into work, but evolved into several projects including to engage elderly residents of care homes, create a sign language to help people with dementia to communicate and to support the education of children in Cardiff Bay.
